ASEAN-EU Joint Photo Exhibition:
45 Years of Dialogue Relations
This year marks the 45th year of EU-ASEAN dialogue relations. To celebrate this milestone, 45 photos have been curated to showcase the depth and breadth of cooperation between 1977-2022
The photos you will see here epitomise the implementation of the EU-ASEAN Strategic Partnership in different areas of cooperation. From green and inclusive sustainable development; sustainable connectivity; to human rights and good governance.
The exhibition was officially launched on 28 July 2022 at the ASEAN Secretariat Jakarta by H.E. Michael Tene, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Ms Myriam Ferran, Deputy Director-General of International Partnerships (INTPA) to the European Commission, H.E. Gunnar Wiegand, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, European External Action Service (EEAS), and Ms. Elizabeth Te, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN and Country Coordinator for the European Union.
The ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta hosted the offline exhibition from 28 July to 11 August 2022.

- ASEAN Customs Transit System ©ACTS A proud driver has just completed the first movement under ASEAN Customs Transit System (ACTS) from Malaysia to Cambodia through Thailand. The ACTS is an automated transit system which enables the use of a single, digital customs declaration for the movement of goods across all participating ASEAN countries, regardless of the number of countries crossed. The ACTS marks the biggest investment ASEAN has made to date in the implementation of economic integration in the region. - Safe and Fair Programme ©UN Women/Nassarus Thuantongkhum/Kith&Kin Nan Zar Ni Myint left her hometown in Myanmar to work as a domestic worker in Thailand 19 years ago. She currently supports other domestic workers from her home country who are residing in Thailand, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Myint is one of over 3000 female migrant workers supported under the Safe and Fair Programme as part of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative.
